Joshua Comaish - Wild Waveforms
wildlife cinematographer
I'm a bilingual wildlife cinematographer & drone pilot based in the UK (English-born, French-bred) with experience filming blue chip behavioural sequences for television and SVOD programmes. I’m comfortable with handheld stabilised systems, long lens, macro, time-lapse and underwater photography as well as motion controlled systems. I hold a GVC from the CAA & an Advanced Open Water certificate from PADI.
After 3 years training as a video editor & post-production technician in Bordeaux, I completed an MA in wildlife documentary production which has given me a detailed understanding of the filmmaking process as well as a solid grounding in the research methods which are so important for every production.
Having been lucky enough to grow up in the French countryside I'm always happy to be outdoors, come rain or shine. Being a wildlife cameraman provides plenty of physical challenges so I believe a healthy lifestyle is of great importance & staying fit is part of my day to day life.

Wildlife filmmaking is my way of communicating my love of the natural world with others. In order to protect our wild places we need to tell their stories.
